THE BEST LEATHER JACKETS FOR FALL
A leather jacket is the quintessential fall wardrobe staple in my book! It’s an incredibly functional, versatile layer that can be dressed up or down effortlessly, making it a must-have for travel too. Such a great basic that looks amazing with just about anything! Style it with a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers for daytime wear, or throw it over a sleek dress and a pair of sexy heels for an event or nice dinner out. While many consider the moto jacket the gold standard for leather jackets, these days I prefer more elevated, polished styles featuring tailored silhouettes and feminine accents. I had been on the hunt for a new leather jacket over the last year or so without much luck, but when I came across this one I knew it was the winner. I managed to snag it discounted during one of Shopbop’s sales, but it’s available in all sizes at full price here. The combination of the collarless V-neckline and subtle shoulder pads is flattering and unexpected, and the gold buttons + flap pockets are particularly elegant touches. I got the size small, which is a perfect fit!
If you’re in the market for a fresh leather look this season, don’t miss these five other styles that caught my eye. Lots of variety!
- Khaite Diana Jacket – this jacket is the most expensive on the list, but it is INCREDIBLE! The luxe shearling collar is an eye-catching detail that I literally can’t stop thinking about. Such a gorgeous designer piece! At $6,400 it’s obviously not in my budget, but a girl can dream.
- IRO Castilli Jacket – While I’m not in my moto jacket era at the moment, this style is perfectly cropped to show off your waist. A sleek silhouette for pairing with dresses and separates alike!
- NOUR HAMMOUR Hatti Jacket – If you love a trench as much as I do, don’t miss this cropped trench-style leather jacket from this new-to-me label. It comes in several chic neutral shades – I have my eye on it in Cepe, which is a beautiful warm gray. Obsessed! I also love this oversized “It Girl” leather jacket by the same brand.
- J.CREW Jodie Jacket – This a solid streamlined style if you’re looking for a designer vibe without the designer price tag. It’s real leather so it’s still an investment, but not like the others on this list.
- Veronica Beard Vega Jacket – if you prefer a blazer look, this jacket is for you! Featuring VB’s signature dickey interior, you can wear it on its own or zip in any number of dickey pieces for an effortless layered look!
And if you’re on a budget or don’t care about it being genuine leather, don’t miss this, this or this! All great styles with an approachable price point.
