How to wear runway trends irl #NYFW
During the beginning of this month I was in NYC for Who What Wear’s fashion week show, which streamed LIVE and was completely shop-able (check it out here in case you missed it.) Editors curated the show’s looks revolving around different trends of the moment. I was asked to recreate two looks based on my favorite trends in partnership with Secret Clinical Strength Deodorant. I chose to rework the trends “shirting” + “bold & bright.” Click through to see the looks and read about how Secret helped make these looks a breeze.
The first trend I decided to style was “shirting.” I love this trend because it can be interpreted many different ways and revolve around a closet staple almost everyone owns. I have plenty of white button downs but liked the idea of playing with different materials and chose to style a denim shirt for this. If you follow my insta you know I’m a denim fiend so this was an easy pick 😉 The fun thing with this trend is that you can change the entire look with layering and level of buttoning (or unbuttoning, in my case.) What is sometimes seen as a boring working-girl wardrobe staple piece becomes fun with a mesh top underneath. Best part? Zero white marks in sight thanks to Secret Clinical Strength.

The second trend I chose was “suiting.” I love a good blazer but decided to give suiting a seasonal twist by pairing black trousers and a black silk cami with a cameo jacket for a dressed down feel. Kept it super casual with my trusty high top chucks. I’m a big believer in simpler is always best so sticking to all black allowed the focal point to be the cameo jacket. As someone how loves to rock black on black on blaaaack, Secret Clinical Strength seriously holds up and keeps my black tops white streak free. I will definitely be including this trend (+ my trusty no mark Secret deodorant) in my dressing throughout the season.
