Our Baby Girl’s Nursery Tour
Morning my loves! It’s been a long time coming, but today I’m SO excited to finally reveal Isabella Grace Santiago’s beautiful nursery! We loved working with Naomi of Little Crown Interiors for Alessandra’s nursery, so we knew we had to have her back for Isabella’s nursery! My vision for this space was to incorporate a lot of neutral tones, light woods, and brass accents to make it feel warm, cozy, and serene. I wanted to take a completely different approach than Alessandra’s nursery and really make Isa’s space her own. And most importantly, create a timeless nursery that she can grow with over the years. I wanted the space to feel warm, cozy, and chic all while still making sure that it’s both functional and well-organized for a newborn.
For the walls, I really wanted to do a Venetian plaster look and was searching for more affordable ways to do so. We found this stunning mural by Urban Walls that has the look and feel of Venetian plaster. I was immediately drawn to the textures and calming neutrals in this wall mural so we decided to install it on the 2 accent walls! It turned out so beautifully and makes such a big impression when you walk into the room! The mural really sets the tone for the room and ties in so beautifully with the Loloi rug!
I knew I wanted a few wooden accents to warm up the space, so we decided to go with this gorgeous washed natural Babyletto crib. I really love the sleek and modern design of this crib. Plus, it easily transitions as your baby grows from a crib to a toddler bed. And can we talk about this chic name script?! Love this light natural wood name script by Timberwood Designs and it compliments the crib perfectly. I think this adds a personal and unique touch to any nursery!
This may just be the favorite part of the nursery! I love a chic, cozy, and comfortable reading corner to curl up with my girls, a good book, and blanket to end a long week. G and I can’t wait to read to Isabella! I think carving out a space for a designated reading nook in a nursery is necessary! To make things even cozier, this boucle rocker from Nursery Works is so plush and comfortable, yet modern and elegant! For some more cozy finishing touches, we added this faux sheepskin rug from Kroma Carpets and a rattan pouf ottoman.
This custom dresser from Newport Cottages is such a beautiful statement piece in this room! We chose all the finishes from the color of the wood, to the rattan caning, and drawer pulls. I love that this piece is something that can be used through Isabella’s babyhood to her toddler years. The drawers are really spacious and fit all of her clothes, diapers, and blankets! All of their furniture is individually built from domestic hardwoods and includes non-toxic finishes which is ideal for nurseries.
For finishing touches, we added this brass mirror from Lamps Plus and this rattan changing basket from TribecaTribe.
Storage is a never-ending battle in our house and the nursery is no different! Naomi helped us figure out an armoire closet situation for this space since our walk-in closet is being used. This custom closet piece is designed by AndisList, an Etsy retailer. Love the brass and white shelving! To finish off this wall, we added this beautiful white dove decor above the closet piece!
