Weekend Notes: February 17th.
Friday night dinner with Alicia and Meghan!
How is everyone doing? It’s been a crazy weekend here with packing and preparing the entire family for our trip. We’re heading to Aruba for the kid’s winter break (our first time), so naturally, it’s been pure madness getting everything and everyone ready for the trip.
The process includes nails, a pedicure, a spray tan, a fresh haircut for Nate, a trim for myself, last-minute Amazon orders, ensuring everyone has fun vacation outfits, laundry, a laser hair appointment, packing, and the list goes on. I’m sure someone is reading this and thinking, “Why do you put yourself through all that torture?” And while it sounds chaotic, and it is, it’s all part of the fun process, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Some might call me high maintenance, to which I reply, “I don’t disagree.”
This past Friday, I met with my OG blogger friends (the photo above), Alicia and Meghan. We met during our early blogging days, way before Instagram was even a thing, and it was so lovely to catch up over delicious drinks and food. We went to Bar Bête in Carroll Gardens, and it was great. I definitely want to return with Keith.
Alicia, who has some of the best style out of anyone I know, was wearing this Anine Bing leather blazer. At dinner, I asked her if it was the Khaite one because it looked so good. She’s that person who is ahead of every curve and wears things before anyone else. Case in point: she’s had the Row Margaux bag for years, long before the entire internet and all of the it girls were carrying it.
Jess Graves from The Love List, one of my favorite Substacks, shares her take on NYFW.
My Weekly top includes the bag I haven’t stopped wearing, a new pair of jeans and the socks that I just ordered.
Farm Rio has been killing it. Even though I’m not a huge print and color girl, I do love to incorporate an occasional piece into some of my vacation and warmer weather wear. It’s like Johanna Ortiz vibes, but at a fraction of the cost.
Some of my favorite earrings at the moment.
Two hair accessories that have made a huge difference.
Wine pairings for every type of takeout.
One of the best jewelry cleaners I’ve tried. A few minutes and everything comes out clean and sparkly.
These are some of the best places in the world to travel solo.
Bazaar deems these the best perfumes of all time. Do you agree?
I’m very much looking forward to the Met Gala theme this year.

These are the best socks.
Elemis launches at Sephora!
A great pair of shoes from H&M Premium. They’re offering 20% site wide. There’s also this blazer that reminds me a bit of Anine Bing.
A recent winter outfit.
The Blue Mercury sale has started.
How to mute friends & not alienate people.
Hope everyone has a fabulous week!
